Laparoscopic Surgery: Many surgeries can be safely performed laparoscopically. It is a technologically and technically advanced surgery allowing tiny incisions (within centimeters) with the use of long instruments and cameras. The decision to perform surgery laparoscopically versus the more traditional open technique depends upon whatever is best for the patient.
